No its not hard at all, the chinchilla itself and all the stuff you have to get is a little pricey though, but that might be cause I spoil her a lot too. haha And no, not at all ! You could go two months without cleaning the cage and you would not smell a thing, not like a hamster or rabbit at all. And thanks, she is very adorable !
